What I used: Fringe Belt • Nail Glue • Scissors

Eeek! I've been meaning to post about my handy dandy headband. I wanted a braid headband but I knew I'd never go out & get one 'cause well, honestly I get easily bored with hair accessories. So instead, I made one out of an old belt I haven't worn since highschool.  My boho-chic piece has evolved ♥ Haa. You can pretty much tell from the picture how I made it. I just braided three strings & glued the ends together. Then measured around my head & cut a separate string as the "back" part & glued it to the braid. To "secure" it a little better, I glued another piece of string all around where they braid & the back parts meet. Lol it's painfully easy. I feel dumb explaining it 'cause I feel like I'm getting a sea of  "Duh!"s. But whatevzz! Lol.

 How cool is this duct tape? I found this tape at my Dollar General for $3.50 & thought it was the cutest idea ever. Lol. I was looking for little bins or something to temporarily store my lipsticks. I keep my lipsticks on my dresser & I always find a way to knock them all down. It seriously never fails. I really want acrylic drawers though so whilst I wait I decided to settle on these cute pink bin things. They were like a dollar! (:

Picture Frame $4.99 • Black Woven Wicker Hamper $13.99

I recently rediscovered Ross. I hadn't gone to that store in like ages. When I think of Ross, I think: Overcrowded, Messy, Rude People. Lol. It's true for the Ross in my area, anyway. But recently I went by & saw so many awesome things. I'm redecorating my bedroom soon & I've already seen some really neat things.. like a turquoise bird cage! Wth do you need a turquoise bird cage in your room for, Dinorah? Pfftt Idk! But it looked super cool. I told my boyfriend, "If it's here next time I come, it's a sign. It belongs in my life."

I love this mannequin jewelry stand! It's super cute. The earrings are from JC Penny. Aren't they adorable??? I know feather earrings are all over the place this year. I wanted really bright ones & I'm eying some like these. The pattern, the length.. I'm all over that! I love them.

Now that Muneka's a little older, I take her with me a lot more often. Mostly when it's later in the day. Because even though, the AC is full blast.. the sun still beams pretty hard & this Texas heat is no joke. I read that Shih Tzu's can get heatstroke easily +She's got all that hair on her. But on quick runs to BK or to run quick errands, she's always with me. x3 This day, we had gone out for Raspas. The one on the left is Leche+Vanilla flavored. The one on the right is a Piccadilly. It's cherry flavored with chunks of dill pickle, koolaid powder, Lucas, & if you want to be awesome add Gummy bears. Haaa sounds disgusting, but it's sooo good. These babies are one of the few perks of being from South Texas.
This month was also the last Vet visit, Muneka had pending for the rest of this year. My little baby's done with all her vaccinations & thankfully so. The first time we took her to the Vet, we learned she had an allergic reaction to either her Parvo or Rabies vaccine. Her eye swelled & lips swelled up & were super pink. :( That was one of the worst feelings ever. I didn't know what was going on with her & I was so scared. We had rushed her back to the vet & he gave us some antihistamines. That man was such an angel. He took us in, even though the clinic had already closed & he took a look at Muneka & gave her medicine & a shot for the reaction.. free of charge. I figured it was because the front desk people that charge you for the consult had already gone home. But either way! It was very nice of him 'cause after all, he didn't have to even answer my phone call or have us come in after they were closed! But anyway! I was so glad after that, & two hours later her swelling came down a lot, just like Mr. Angel Vet had told us. (: I love her! & I love having her around me 24/8. She's stubborn & sassy but she's perfect. x3

Portraits!! Pictured above are my cousins Leila & Gaby. Their moms asked me to take pictures of them. Aren't they beautiful? A lot of them came out super awesome & we all had a lot of fun doing it. Even though it was hot as hell outside, lol we agreed to do it again on a cooler day.

My skin type is combination oily :( & I was afraid that it would be greasy or too heavy & make me sweat (I hate that! lol) But it's super light & not greasy at all. It's moisturizing & just feels good. I think Muneka likes it too 'cause she nearly licked it all off my face -___- No bueno. Haha I'm really excited to keep trying it out! & I'll def keep updating on it. (:

I almost never wear glitter on my nails but I remembered I had the Funky Finger glitter polishes Jocee had sent me & I decided to give them another go! I loveeed how it looks over the purple Riot polish.

My 1st NYX Purchase+Swatches

Hey you's guys. So I recently purchased Nyx stuff for the very first time. *tear* The Ulta down here is kind of far from me & I've never even been there. I've been wanting to order online from the NYX site since Tiffany sent me the Pinky Natural lipgloss that I totally fell in love with. (Still my favorite lip gloss ever btw) but I honestly just wasn't too motivated to buy $4 lipsticks plus shipping for something I had never tried or seen IRL. What a cheapskate!! Yes.. Yes, I am. Haa. Well anywayy! I stumbled across the site beautyjoint.com & saw that they had the round lipsticks for $1.99 & S&H was $2 something. I now know what it feels like to strike gold. Lol Super exciting. I was really pleased with the shipping & the easy checkout & of course the great prices. I'll definitely be going back to get some Jumbo Pencils & some lip glosses yay!

So here are the ones I picked.. in all their fabulous glory. Haa. I literally spent like two hours trying to decide which to get. I was googling swatches like crazy. Thank God for blogger & all of you ladies who have swatches posted. Haha. You helped me A LOT! Narcissus, Strawberry Pink, & Circe really caught me off guard. I thought they were going to be my favorite & I was going to love the for evarzz. But meh.. Circe doesn't really flatter me, at all. I'm not sure what it is, It looks really nice in the tube & swatched, but on my lips it's not so impressive. It looks kind of dark & makes my whole face look weird to me. I'll try to do a look with it, anyway. The light pinks weren't too flattering on me either lol but I still like them just because they're pink. I had the lowest expectations for Tea Rose & Fig. They're pretty similar to each other, except Tea Rose is a tad bit more neutral while Fig is a bit more Pinkish, but just a little bit. I ended up loving these the most from the rest of the round lipsticks. They're super flattering & give the lips such a pretty color. They're really close to my lipcolor & I find they look good with almost any eye look. Spellbound looks red on me & I thought it would be more Pink. It's the only one I really regret getting. It's a gorgeous color, just not on me lol. I expected to love Hot Pink & Shocking Pink & I really do! Especially Shocking Pink. It's freakin lovely. Fuschia & Matte? Omm.. yes please!

I think the only bone I have to pick with the lipsticks is that the round ones I feel like I have to be careful with them. I'm pretty tosca with my stuff so it needs to be built tough like Ford. & The round lipsticks, I always feel like I'm going to break them. The matte one [Shocking Pink] which cost a little more, is perfect though. It feels like most of my other lipsticks. Sturdy-ish? lol I should report that I've already broken Spellbound v.v It's the one I liked the least & the one I would've picked to take the plunge before the rest but I still got sad. Don't get me wrong though, they're not completely flimsy like the $1 Elf lipsticks. Haa. Oh yeah, & some of them taste like dish-washing soap to me. Like Tea Rose & one of the light Pink ones, I forgot which. Don't ask me how I know what dish-washing soap tastes like -___- lol but I got the slight hint of it in some of them. Other than that, I really love them & am super happy I finally got them!  Btw Check out Mie's blog No Beauty Limits! She was sweet enough to feature me & two other ladies in her Spotlight. She's a lovely girl with a fab sense of style. Thnx a bunch again, beautiful. <3

Vivacious Fuschia+Wild Nails.

Milani HD Advanced Lip Color • Vivacious Fuschia 112

Holiz (: I just wanted to show the Milani lipcolor that I received earlier this week. Sometime last month, Milani's FB was giving away these lipcolors & even catered to your color preference which I thought was pretty cool! They sent a full size lipstick. I wish more cosmetic companies would do this! I'm looking at you, Revlon!

Pros.

• Really moisturizing & creamy. It glides on really smoothly like a lip balm without the waxy-ness.
• It's a sheer lipstick but can easily be built up to full coverage.
• Fruity watermelon scent. Might be a con for some girls. But it's not overwhelming & I find it pretty pleasant.
• Sleek design & has a lot of product.
• High shine!

Cons.

• As you can see from the pictures, the color bleeds really easily. (top right)
• Lasting power is not very long. The color faded significantly within the hour.
• Kind of pricey for a not-so-special lipstick. I've seen them at Walgreens for around $7 or $8
• It's not a regular up & down tube. It clicks up & down. This might not matter to some people, but I just don't like that lol.

I love the red based pink but am not a big fan of  the application. I prefer matter lips, so I probably won't get much use out of this. I do love how moisturizing it is, though.

KKCenterHK N.NAIL 20 Pieces Nail Stickers • LA Colors French Overlap Nails

I used these full nail stickers along with my Lee Press On's the other day. Haa. Although I got a lot of air bubbles on my first hand lol I managed to pull it together on the other one. I'm not sure what kind of animal print it is but it's really pretty. I was super disheartened though because the stickers started to peel off the next day. :(

Rusty Blue+Savage.

I realize now that to show off the makeup colors I probably shouldn't have taken this picture in front of a big ol tinted window. Haa. But I digress, so lately I've been - o b s e s s i n g - over the right definer color in the Wet N Wild Comfort Zone palette. & I'm not even exaggerating. I've been literally talking about this color for daysss. Lol I've been wearing almost all week. I think it's such a gorgeous color & can be used with almost anything & since it's a double chrome, you don't even have to use a lot of technique or take a whole lot of time applying it. It looks amazing by itself. The wonderful Becca from NarsCupcake pointed out that it's very similar to some other shadows from different brands & was - a m a z i n g - enough to swatch them & compare them. Check it out [here♥] After seeing them all together I've decided I need Mac's Blue Brown pigment in my life asap lol. Thanks again Becca! x3

WnW Comfort Zone • Also used UD Naked Palette (Picture here)

I used the definer color from Comfort Zone all over the lid. Then I took Naked from the Naked Palette in the crease & a little bit of Virgin as a highlight. I went in very lightly with Hustle & Creep in the Outer V's & I mean very lightly. And that's it! I wanted the lid color to be the main focus because ugh.. it's so beautiful. lol I can gush over this color all day.

NYX Gloss in Pinky Natural

My aweshum Nyx gloss thanks to Tiffany <3 I' super excited tonight 'cause I just placed my very first NYX order evarzz. Okay so my Ulta is super far & the products that I've seen online are all around the same price. I've never tried their lipsticks but have always wanted to. I came across beautyjoint.com where they have NYX stuff for practically half the price which is pretty friggin cool! I may be super late on this but no one ever tells me anything -___- lol. So if you're like me, I'm telling you!! lol

Sinful Colors in Savage

I loveee this nail polish. My first experience with a matte nail polish was with this one, earlier this year. I remember I was super confused. I remember describing it as "house paint" bwahaha. I had no clue there was such a thing as a matte nail polish. I didn't like it & for the longest didn't wear it. But then I started getting more matte NPs & even got the ELF mattifying NP. Obviously I'm a huge fan of them now but I remember how annoyed I was with Savage for being so weird lol.
